Hi Peter,
For your interest I have approx, 10 acres of Moso here in the NW of Tassie,
just coming into their sixth year. I have trialled many of the tropical
clumping species in my micro climate but with little success. They are
designed for the tropics. I understand the reluctance to pursue a running
species like Moso, that has such a long lead in time, but I have found that
it is really the only species worth pursueing on an ecological scale that
suits our conditions. I ended up getting my seed from China and was a simple
and cheap process. Now its just a wait and see game and at this stage I am
happy with its progress, but could have done a lot better if I knew then
what I know now.
Cheers Henry
