Hola. I've got 103 H in Costa Rica that I started planting Dendrocalamus
asper, and Guadua Chacoensis on. The land is an old finca, has plano,
escrituro, and is registered as a CR corp/SA. If you are at all
interested in starting a commercial bambu proyecto in CR, I'd love to
share this one with someone, as it's a bit too much for me!
I'll be going down again, real soon, to plant more older culms,
supposedly 8 yr. ones. I'm thinking to just start forming swales, for
the bamboo, ascending from the winding creeks. Higher up on the
hills, is maybe too dry after Jan, unless the hill that was cleared,
gets terraced/swaled.
I am going to try bringing in the plants, next time, by boat, from the
Rio Savegre!
I invite all you folks to come down and experience the beautiful
quiet Rio Savegre. The more "eco"tourists who come to discover these
back Jungles, the LESS likely the UN will be able get away with
another damn dam. (hydroelectric project)
Feel free to call and come south, please! We have places for you to
stay in MA, and closer in at Portalon, El Silencio,or there's Rafiki
Safari lodge in Santo Domingo.
