maybe sustainability with bamboo products comes as follow:
ok for the views of the plant itself, as far as it survives, it is sustainable.....
.....but by or end products will still have to ensure they are sustainable.........meaning they require the lesser amount of energy possible in its manufacturing process, the enregy should come from the "cleanest & most sustainable" source........people manufacturing the products should be well taken care of (where sustainability reaches social responsability).......and then finally, of course, distance and means of transportation to the final client do have to be taken in account.......it's very nice for us bambuseros to claim our product are sustainable.......and then load them on containers and ship 'em half way around the world.........unless the boat runs on bamboo charcoal coming itself from a sustainable plantation, your end product will loose some of its sustainable feathers!!!!!!
Just an opinion,
good day to all,

I'm with you on this one, Kinder. For what it is worth, your view of sustainability is in complete accord with my own.
