Gigantis Bamboo plantation If you can root a bamboo cutting and retain the growth, sooner or later
rhizomes would develop. In species such as the yellow bamboo ( Bambusa
vulgaris) almost any branch cutting with a node would give a plant sometimes
even without the aid of any hormone. But of course there are several other
species of bamboo in which it is difficult to even root the branches
although in many of them the buds will sprout and form a few shoots but no
further developement takes place.. The willow bark treatment might be
useful for only the easy to root bamboo species. But I have to admit I have
no experience with such a treatment.
