i have seen panels of one meter square which can be transported by humans if necessary, or other more primitive transports.   i think compressed earth blocks or rammed earth walls with bamboo roofing structures make a lot of sense. you can make roofing tiles out of compressed earth as well, so actual capital outlay is minimal.  would it be possible to make a mold of the dimensions you would want, cut bamboo into strips to fill the mold, and then glue and press?  it could be done without a need for much machinery.   cliff
