You actually ask an important 'question' as there are areas with poor information in the public domain. However there are some areas that are very well known through publication of research and results of pratical endeavour and what is in the archive of this gorup (which you should really read before asking ) and that of Inbar and other organisations.
You do yourself and the group no service by lumping absolutely everything togther in one question.
Suggest you split your query up into discrete , logical areas ; perhaps going one by one. For example it is is unwise to bundle up in one question unrelated activties: eg plantation irrigation and power used in processing strips or furniture and flooring. Also mixing up all geographical areas and species.
Since China and Moso and floors is the predominant activity, maybe you should start with that.
Alternatively, focus on one promoted area with good data : eg one of Unido 's bamboo programmes that go from seedling to end of manufacture. They should carry all the background data.
In the meantime , perhaps Group members could refer you to background reading.

Subject: [bamboo-plantations] Bamboo facts on floors and furniture!
Hello everyone!!
I am looking for actual facts that show how much is the use of energy,
water, chemicals, etc in the harvest and manufacturing process of
floors and furniture.
It is very easy to find info about how good Bamboo is, but it is very
difficult to find facts that can prove it!! Most of the info about this
topics that I mentioned above are just words that people says, which
are very valuable but I think we need real tests and proves of how
really good Bamboo is.
Maybe is that I haven´t looked well, or that since I am new then I dont
know where this info is, can somebody help me to find it, please?
